1999 Bavaria 42 Ocean

The 1999 Bavaria 42 Ocean is a 42-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat with a beam of 13 feet, built to Lloyd's Register standards and compliant with CE and ISO certifications. The hull features hand-laid fiberglass solid below the waterline, a Kevlar-reinforced bow, and an osmosis protection coat of isophtalic resin. The construction includes a double laminate centerline, S-Glass reinforced stringers, a lead keel with heavy laminate flange, and a partial skeg rudder with self-adjusting bearing. All thru-hull fittings are bronze with stainless steel ball valves.

The boat is powered by a 2020 Volvo D2-60 turbo diesel engine with 60 hours of operation as of August 2025, driving a saildrive system. A 6'5" draft fin keel and spade rudder support a sail plan that includes an in-boom Leisurefurl main furler, 100% furling jib, 140% genoa, mast-mounted whisker pole, and Dutchman boom brake. Deck equipment includes one coach roof electric winch, a folding wheel, electric anchor winch with washdown hose, CQR anchor with 160 feet of chain, and all lines routed to the cockpit.

Below deck, the yacht offers a spacious aft master cabin with a centerline queen berth and a V-berth forward, alongside two heads each served by 20-gallon holding tanks with macerator pumps. Two fresh water tanks and a 6-gallon hot water heater support daily operations. Power systems comprise a 2kW Magnasine inverter/charger and 600 AH house battery bank.

Navigation and safety systems include a Raymarine E120 chartplotter with integrated radar and LED backlighting, autopilot, lifesling, and MOM8 rescue equipment. Five fire extinguishers are positioned throughout the yacht. The cockpit features a folding wheel and a propane grill on the port pushpit, while the sugar scoop stern includes integrated steps, swim ladder, and shower.
