1999 Bertram 60 Convertible

This 1999 Bertram 60 Convertible is a diesel-powered sportfisher built on a fiberglass hull with a beam of 16.92 feet. Power comes from a pair of Caterpillar 3412 engines rated at 1,300 horsepower each, driving through ZF BW190-A transmissions and 3-inch-diameter shafts. The boat cruises at 27 knots at 72 percent load and 1,800 RPM, consuming approximately 80 gallons per hour. An electric bow thruster and electric stern thruster are also aboard. At the time of listing, the engines had logged 2,331 hours.

The interior follows a three-stateroom, three-head layout with full galley and galley appliances including a full-size refrigerator. Recent updates include new flooring in the salon and hallway, new carpet in the master stateroom, and a new refrigerator, all completed in 2022. The boat is equipped with air conditioning and heating, television, satellite system, stereo, and internet connectivity. Two Northern Lights generators provide shore-independent power.

Electronics include a Garmin 8616xsv multifunction display, a Garmin GPS MAP 5215 with integrated GPS, AIS, depth, and sonar capabilities, and a Garmin Fantom 50-kilowatt radar with a 6-foot array. Additional electronics encompass a Garmin GXM54 marine weather and satellite antenna, Simrad AP21 autopilot, Furuno RD30 digital depth sounder, Caterpillar fuel management system, and dual Icom VHF radios.

The boat has undergone substantial recent service. A comprehensive 1,000-hour engine service was completed in spring 2022 on both mains and generators, including fluid and filter changes, belt and hose inspection, water pump replacement, and cooler servicing. The bottom was sanded, prepped, and painted with two coats of Interlux antifouling. Props were removed and tuned with Propspeed applied; rudders were serviced and the hydraulic steering cylinder rebuilt. An onboard fuel polisher, new batteries, new freshwater pump, and new AC water pump are installed. Additional recent upgrades include new lee outriggers, new main DC switches, new macerators, new sump pumps, all new underwater lights, and a new three-bank battery charger.
