The 1999 Cabo 45 Express is a fiberglass express cruiser built on a beamy modified V-hull with cored sides, a deep forefoot, and a flared bow. Twin MAN diesel engines provide 1800 horsepower combined. The boat features a spacious air-conditioned centerline helm deck with L-shaped seating to port and aft, and a fully equipped cockpit with transom livewell, tackle storage, and two in-deck fish boxes. Engine room access is through the cockpit.
The layout includes a master stateroom forward and a guest stateroom with double bunk to port. The head and shower are located to starboard, across from the guest cabin. Additional accommodations include helm deck seating and a salon.
In 2016, the hull was repainted and new MAN 900hp engines were installed along with updated Garmin electronics. During 2024, new cushions, a bridge enclosure, and updated electrical systems were added. The air conditioning, refrigeration, and lighting systems were serviced. A technician specializing in vessel restoration worked on the boat following water intrusion from a 2023 storm; he replaced wet wiring sections and changed engine fluids multiple times. The generator was removed. The hull is maintained with regular professional bottom cleaning. The engines are currently not running and the boat is offered as-is.
