1999 Catalina 36 MkII

This 1999 Catalina 36 MkII is a fiberglass cruising sailboat powered by a single 30-horsepower Universal diesel engine. The design is recognized for its practical layout and user-friendly features, including a walk-through transom and redesigned cockpit with good workspace. The cabin benefits from enlarged windows and a well-arranged interior suited to both single-handed sailing and cruising with crew.

Recent equipment updates completed in 2024 include a water heater, Ray Marine radio, autopilot, and AIS system. The sails are new, comprising a main and two foresails—a 110 percent furling jib and an 85 percent furling jib. Running rigging was replaced in 2020, and the mainsail cover is also new from that year. A Dutchman flaking system is installed on the boom.

Standing rigging underwent inspection in 2024 and was reported in good condition, though it is original to the boat. The bottom was painted in 2021 and noted to be in sound condition. An 8-foot dinghy with a new 2.5-horsepower Mercury outboard is included; both remain unused.
