This 1999 Fortier 26 is a downeast-style composite hull built to work and cruise. The boat runs on a 200 horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine, rebuilt in 2021 with approximately 200 hours of operation since completion. At full throttle it reaches cruising speeds around 15 knots.
The boat sleeps two in a cuddy cabin forward and includes one head. The hard top and full isinglass enclosure keep the interior protected from weather, with additional sunblock canvas and stanchions available for the aft deck. Control stations are positioned both in the cabin and at the transom.
Power management is handled by 300 watts of solar generation feeding three AGM Group 31 batteries, which sustain the onboard Norcroft refrigerator continuously. An electric windlass handles ground tackle. The composite hull and recent engine rebuild provide a solid foundation for extended operation.
