1999 Gozzard 37A

The Gozzard 37A is a composite sailing yacht built for serious cruising and family enjoyment. The hull features E-glass with Corecell foam core and solid laminate in high-load areas, paired with external lead ballast along the full keel. The deck is similarly robust FRP sandwich construction with reinforced load zones. A stainless steel rudder with welded web and cored foils, along with a heavy-duty skeg, provide reliable steering control. The rig is a traditional cutter with a deck-stepped mast, double spreaders, and a full complement of Lewmar winches. North sails include a fully battened main, staysail, and genoa, plus a Sobstad drifter, delivering 1,028 square feet of total sail area.

The interior showcases satin-varnished cherry throughout with white overheads and a traditional teak and holly sole. The forward multiuse cabin converts between a settee configuration, centerline double berth, or a dining table seating six, with ample storage and a cedar-lined hanging locker. The main salon includes a cherry nav station with hinged electrical panels for easy access. An adjacent galley is equipped with a Force 10 two-burner gimballed stove with oven, a refrigerator and freezer, and stainless steel sink. The head features a separate shower stall with Corian countertop and cherry vanity. Aft on starboard is a king-size cabin with a V-berth and excellent engine access. Natural ventilation comes from multiple hatches, opening ports, dorade boxes, and solar vents.

The Westerbeke W63B diesel with 2,640 hours drives through a Hurth transmission via a Vetus flex coupling. Systems include dual Rolls house batteries, a Heart inverter-charger, and comprehensive electronics: Raymarine chartplotter and autopilot, Standard Horizon VHF with AIS, and Ritchie compass. The galley has hot and cold pressure water, a microwave, and 121 gallons of water storage. A 70-gallon fuel tank, waste system with macerator pump, and multiple bilge pumps ensure reliability. The cockpit features a comfortable U-shaped seating layout, a large fixed table with folding leaves, teak sole, hard dodger with bimini, and a transom with swim platform and shower. An 8-foot six-inch inflatable dinghy with a 4-horsepower outboard is included, along with comprehensive safety gear including EPIRB, liferaft system, and emergency tiller.
