This 1999 Grand Alaskan 64 Pilothouse is a raised pilothouse motor yacht designed by Arthur DeFever and built for extended cruising. Twin John Deere 6068SFM50 diesel engines deliver 300 horsepower each, paired with Twin Disc transmissions, hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, and Gyro-Gale Quadra Fin stabilizers for confident handling. The boat cruises at 10 knots and carries 1,400 gallons of diesel fuel across four aluminum tanks. A fiberglass semi-displacement hull measuring 64 feet in length and 17 feet 2 inches in beam provides the platform.
The three-stateroom, two-head layout separates accommodations and spaces effectively. The master suite sits midships to port with an oversized queen berth, private ensuite head with stand-up shower, and direct engine room access. Forward are a VIP stateroom and guest stateroom, each with opening portlights. The pilothouse command center features a centerline helm with STIDD chair, portside watchman's bunk, and bench seating. An enclosed flybridge with helm and guest seating sits above, while a large covered cockpit serves practical docking and outdoor needs. The galley is positioned to port forward of the salon with granite countertops, full-size appliances including induction cooktop and convection oven, and integration with the main living spaces.
Systems reflect extended cruising capability: dual Kohler and Northern Lights diesel generators, Caliber watermaker producing 37.5 gallons per hour, ITR Hurricane five-zone hydronic diesel furnace installed in 2022, and dual Dometic Cruisair reverse-cycle climate systems. Fresh water capacity is 350 gallons. Steering is hydraulic through dual stations. Electronics include dual Garmin 8616xsv displays in the pilothouse, Simrad autopilot controls, Icom VHF radios, AIS, and Starlink connectivity. The engine room logs show the main engines at approximately 4,813 hours and include oil sampling history. New PSS dripless shaft seals were installed in 2024. A Novurania 400 DL inflatable tender with 50-horsepower Yamaha outboard is included with aluminum davit and cradle.
