This 36-foot Harris Custom is a diesel-powered express-style sport fishing boat built in 1999. Twin turbocharged John Deere engines producing 450 horsepower give the boat capable offshore performance. The hull is fiberglass, and the design features a flush foredeck forward, a raised pilothouse amidships, and an expansive cockpit aft.
Below deck, the interior flows from a forward anchor rode locker with bulkhead access through an open-plan cabin. A large V berth with under and side storage serves as the primary sleeping quarters. Aft of the berth, port and starboard accommodations include a settee with folding table that converts to an additional bunk and a galley with sink, refrigerator, and two-burner cooktop. A head compartment with marine toilet, sink, and counter space completes the below-deck arrangement. Access to the engine room is via a door aft of the head.
The engine room provides standing headroom throughout, with fuel tanks positioned outboard to port and starboard, and water and holding tanks integrated into the layout. The pilothouse sits directly above and features helm seating to port with passenger seating across both sides, a curved single-piece windshield forward, and sliding side windows. A canvas curtain with eisenglass panels spans the aft end and unzips for ventilation.
The large cockpit includes flush hatches in the sole for access to bait and fish boxes, steering gear, and engine room. The aft bulkhead below the pilothouse includes hinged and removable steps providing additional engine room access alongside the internal door.
