This 1999 Hinckley Talaria 44 is the first hull of the model line—a landmark boat that defined the company's evolution from its celebrated Picnic Boat series. The design pairs classic Downeast styling with advanced composite construction and jet propulsion, establishing characteristics that would make the Talaria 44 one of Hinckley's most recognized yachts. Twin Volvo D6-480 diesel engines with Hamilton HJ321 waterjets deliver 32 knots at full throttle and cruise efficiently at 27 knots.
The hull employs Hinckley's DualGuard composite construction: a Kevlar and E-glass outer skin over aircraft-grade cores and carbon fiber inner skin, all laminated with vinylester resin using the SCRIMP process. The deck uses similar construction with E-glass skins and a molded nonskid pattern. Marelon seacocks, 316L stainless steel drain plates, teak swim platform with custom decking, and a comprehensive stainless steel rail system support long-term durability. The hull was repainted in dark green Awlgrip in 2025, and the bottom received a complete CopperCoat epoxy system.
The interior accommodates five with a master cabin forward featuring a queen berth, plus a separate head and shower. The main cabin houses a U-shaped dinette to port and a full galley to starboard, all finished in satin-varnished cherry with teak and tulip soles. The pilothouse features dual Stidd helm chairs, L-shaped settees, and large opening windows. Throughout the boat, equipment reflects recent updates: new avionics including dual Raymarine Axiom 12 displays, a 4KW open array radar, and updated systems for lighting, trim tabs, and engine monitoring.
An extensive 2025 mechanical refit included engine replacement, new waterjet impellers, fresh driveshafts, replaced wing fuel tanks, new hot water heater and fresh water pump, LED lighting throughout, updated electrical systems, and refinished cabin cushions and covers. The boat has had only two owners and has been maintained by Hinckley since new, with seasonal New England use and winter storage prioritized throughout its life.
