1999 Nautor Swan Frers 40
About This Yacht
A 1999 Nautor Swan 40 sailing yacht designed by Germán Frers, this boat spent its entire life on Lake Michigan as a freshwater vessel. The teak decks remain in excellent condition, maintained under full canvas cover during off-season storage. The original gel coat has been buffed and waxed annually and remains in strong condition without need for repainting. The Nanni diesel engine runs well and receives seasonal service.
Below deck, the yacht is equipped with a new Raymarine suite of electronics including an 8-inch display at the helm and a 12-inch display at the navigation station. The boat carries a full suit of North 3DL sails: main, 135 jib, and 155 genoa, plus an asymmetrical spinnaker with a custom carbon fiber spinnaker sprit and Colligo top-down furler system. Hydraulics for the backstays were rebuilt several years ago.
The package includes a dinghy with Honda engine and a custom cradle. The boat has been stored indoors in a heated professional facility each winter. Spare parts are included with the sale.
