1999 Oyster 56

This 1999 Oyster 56 is a proven blue-water cruising yacht built to the exacting standards Oyster is known for. At 57 feet with a 16-foot beam, she balances manageable handling for a couple with enough space to accommodate six guests comfortably. The hull is fiberglass, and the yacht is powered by a 110 hp Yanmar diesel engine paired with a MaxProp 3-blade feathering propeller and 10 hp bow thruster.

The sailing rig is comprehensive: cutter configuration with in-mast furling mainsail, staysail, Yankee, spinnaker, and storm jib. The deck is outfitted with hydraulic backstay, electric winches, Harken furlers, and spinnaker gear. A Westerbeke generator supports twin alternators, and a full suite of Raymarine electronics handles navigation. Additional systems include air conditioning, water maker, and a 10 hp bow thruster. On deck: sprayhood, bimini, sun awning, davits, protective covers, life rafts, tender with outboard engine, and generous stowage.

The interior is a bright, well-finished space with a raised saloon offering natural light and generous seating. The galley to port has ample counter space; a forward-facing chart table to starboard suits passage planning. Below are four cabins: an owner's suite aft spanning the full beam with double berth, extensive storage, and private ensuite head with shower; a forward VIP cabin with centreline double berth, seat, vanity, and storage; a guest cabin with upper and lower berths; and a fourth cabin aft of the chart table with upper and lower berths. Two heads serve the accommodation.
