This 1999 Sea Ray 280 Sun Sport is a 28-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Mercruiser gasoline engines totaling 520 horsepower. Both engines were replaced last year along with new dry joint manifolds and risers, and each received a full tune-up. New stainless propellers, new transom assembly on the starboard side, and a rebuilt port transom complete the powerplant upgrades. Three new batteries and a charger were also installed.
The boat features a new Bimini top and new Sea Deck flooring throughout. A Garmin touchscreen navigation system with NEMA 2000 backbone and RGB controller provides electronics integration. The audio system includes a Fusion stereo with JL Audio M6 7.7 RGB speakers, an M6 10-inch subwoofer with RGB lighting, a 400/4 amplifier, and a 500/3 amplifier. Underwater lighting by Lumitec completes the entertainment and accent lighting package.
Accommodations include a Vacuflush head, microwave, refrigerator, and transom shower. A new anchor chain and fresh mooring gear round out the equipment list. The boat is supported by a triaxle aluminum bunk trailer. Documentation for all parts and upgrades is available.
