The Symbol 58 is a 58-foot fiberglass pilothouse yacht powered by twin Caterpillar 3196 diesel engines producing 1,320 horsepower combined. She cruises at 18 knots and reaches 22 knots at full speed. The design features easily accessed wide side decks for safe line handling, a spacious covered cockpit suitable for dining and entertaining, and a full-beam master stateroom with king-size berth that takes full advantage of her 16-foot, 9-inch beam.
The accommodations include a large main salon with L-shaped sofa and settee, a pilothouse with U-shaped galley and helm station, and a flybridge with ample guest seating and an extended boat deck. Below deck, the master suite features an ensuite head with tub and shower, generous storage, and cedar-lined hanging lockers. A guest stateroom forward holds a queen berth with its own ensuite head and stall shower. A washer-dryer combination is integrated into the companionway. The stand-up engine room is accessible from the aft deck and includes easy access to all mechanical systems, while a spacious lazarette with two access points provides ample storage.
The yacht underwent major refits in 2017 and 2024. The 2017 work included replacement of the Simrad electronics suite, davit crane upgrade with new Brower 1000-pound hydraulic unit, complete cooling system service, Wesmar stabilizer overhaul, new PSS shaft seals and cutlass bearings, and new trim-tab actuators. The September 2024 haulout added new bottom paint, Prop Speed coating on all underwater metals, new fuel transfer pump, and full systems service. Recent updates include new Simrad Halo 20 radar and electronics suite, new Dometic HVAC, polycarbonate bridge enclosure, new refrigerator, refinished teak and holly floors, all new battery banks and chargers with Magnum inverter, LED lighting throughout, new mattresses and upholstery, and a UV water filtration system.
Deck equipment includes a 10-foot, 6-inch Achilles tender with 20-horsepower Honda outboard and associated davit system, 60-pound stainless anchor with 250 feet of chain, Muir electric windlass, bow and transom washdowns with hot and cold water, fiberglass hardtop with LED lighting, and polycarbonate bridge enclosure with opening side windows. Navigation electronics include dual Simrad NSS12 Evo2 multifunction displays with radar, chart, depth, and AIS, autopilot, VHF, and compass systems at both helm and flybridge stations. The watermaker produces 800 gallons per day, and mechanical systems feature bow thrusters, stabilizers, hydraulic steering, and ZF transmissions.
