1999 Tartan 3500

The 1999 Tartan 3500 is a 35-foot fiberglass cruiser built for both family sailing and competitive performance. Her moderate beam and strong ends deliver excellent stability and sail-carrying ability, while the long waterline and powerful rig enable fast passages. The cockpit features a pedestal steering wheel, contoured seats, and wide coamings designed for comfort whether underway or at the dock.

Below deck, the interior showcases Tartan's trademark teak joinery with hand-rubbed oil finish throughout. The main salon seats eight around a drop-leaf centerline table, with angular settees facing forward. The galley is well-equipped with a three-burner Force 10 gimbaled stove, oven, broiler, double stainless steel sinks, and an Adler Barbour refrigeration unit, along with extensive locker and drawer storage. The aft nav station wraps around the galley corner and provides ample space for charts and electronics. Two large private cabins—forward and aft—each feature double berths with abundant storage. The head includes a separate shower, Corian sink, and 16-gallon holding tank.

The boat is outfitted with comprehensive deck hardware including Harken winches (two #46.2 primary, one #40, one #32.2, and one #16), stainless steel rails and lifelines, boarding gates, and a motorized transom door. Main and 135% genoa sails by UK Sailmakers date from 2018 and are rigged on a double-spreader aluminum mast with internal halyards and two reef points. Electronics include Raymarine chartplotter radar, autopilot, speed/depth/wind instruments, and an ICOM VHF radio at the nav station.

Power comes from a 27-horsepower Yanmar diesel with fresh-water cooling and a three-blade Max Prop. The electrical system features three 105-amp batteries, a 110-amp Balmar alternator, Xantrex inverter and charger, 110-volt shore power, and both 12-volt and 110-volt outlets throughout. The exterior wood is fully varnished and maintained professionally.
