The Albin 28 Tournament Express is a sturdy sportfish with traditional Downeast styling, built on a foam-cored fiberglass hull with a skeg-protected rudder for tracking and stability. The boat accommodates four below and features a practical working cockpit with room for anglers despite the centerline engine box. Topside, the optional hardtop includes sliding side windows and a drop curtain for full weather protection at the helm.
Below deck, the compact interior combines mica cabinetry with teak trim and a teak-and-holly sole. A wide quarter berth runs beneath the bridge deck. The galley includes a newly installed fridge and freezer, and a high-end teak dining table accents the space. One head serves the accommodation.
The boat is powered by a single 315 horsepower Yammer diesel on a V-drive. The engine is recent, with under 900 hours on it. Recent service work included the 1000-hour maintenance, a new aftercooler, and a new turbo. A new bow thruster has been added. The boat also carries air conditioning and heating, a Garmin GPS/fishfinder, and Raymarine autopilot. In July 2025, the bottom received a fresh job and hull detailing. The boat runs at 18 knots cruising with a top speed of 22 to 23 knots.
