This 2000 Baja 33 Outlaw is a high-performance offshore boat built around twin 555 cubic-inch big-block Chevrolet engines. The engines are custom-built by Big Johnson's Performance and dyno-tested at 672 horsepower each, paired with Imco SCX uppers and -2 SC shorties. The composite hull is designed for rough water running, with a cockpit that accommodates multiple standup bolster seats for driver and crew, Kiekhaefer performance controls, and a large fuel capacity for extended range.
Accommodations include a roomy cabin with a V-berth, two couches, refrigerator, and portable head, with room for eight people total. The boat's offshore styling is complemented by classic lines and an open, functional deck layout.
Recent mechanical work includes custom-built engines with dyno documentation, Holley 850 carburetors rebuilt in the previous year by Nickerson Performance with fuel pumps serviced, new fuel lines installed, replacement throttle and shifter cables fitted in 2024, and new drive trim pumps and reservoirs installed in 2024. The hull has been repainted below the rails, and the swim platform was powder-coated. Interior upholstery was replaced in 2019.
The trailer has undergone extensive refurbishment, including sandblasting and repainting, Rhino-Liner application to the center section, custom step cutouts, new bunks, carpet, fenders, rollers, winch, wheels, tires, axles, and brakes, plus provisions for spare tires and wheel chock holders.
