About This Yacht
The 2000 Baja 40 Outlaw is a high-performance center console built on a fiberglass hull and powered by three Mercury 500 EFI engines totaling 1,500 horsepower. The boat reaches speeds of 80 mph and cruises comfortably at 40 mph, making it well-suited for offshore running and day trips.
Recent mechanical work has been extensive. All three engines were removed and serviced; the port engine underwent a complete rebuild. Three new starters, three new outdrives with gimbals, and brand new K-planes have been installed. The fuel system and engine management are supported by new Teague Custom Marine gauges.
The interior and cockpit have been upgraded throughout. A carbon fiber dashboard, new carpet, and new LED multi-color lighting replace aging components. Updated switches, Kiekhaefer shifters and throttles, and fresh electrical systems enhance both function and reliability. The boat was stored indoors on a rack for its entire life and has been maintained consistently.
