2000 Beneteau Oceanis 381

The 2000 Beneteau Oceanis 381 is a 34-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat powered by a 42-horsepower Westerbake diesel engine. Built for extended offshore and liveaboard use, she features in-mast furling main and genoa sails, an electric windlass with 200 feet of chain and 200 feet of rode, and a feathering Max Prop. The boat cruises at 7 knots and reaches 8 knots under power. She comes with an 11-foot inflatable dinghy, Yamaha 15-horsepower outboard, and davit system for launch and retrieval.

Below deck, the yacht offers two private cabins—a forward berth with closet and vanity, and an aft cabin with closet—accommodating a couple to live comfortably with room for guest berths. The salon has 6 feet 8 inches of headroom, finished in warm wood with a galley featuring a tropical water-cooled refrigerator, two-burner gimballed stove, and ample counter space. Seating in the salon accommodates 6 to 8 people. The boat includes heat and air conditioning via reverse-cycle heat pump, a full shower system with hot and cold water fed from two 80-gallon freshwater tanks, and a Katadyn Powersurvivor watermaker for producing fresh water underway.

Electrical power derives from a 6.5-kilowatt Northern Lights generator, 3-kilowatt Xantrex true sine wave inverter, 800 amp-hours of house batteries installed in 2024, a dedicated 160-amp alternator, and 170 watts of solar panels. Navigation and communication equipment includes a 12-inch Raymarine HybridTouch chartplotter, chirp radar, autopilot, Class B AIS transponder, dual Raymarine VHF radios with backup, Iridium satellite phone, multiple handheld VHF radios, and a 6-person Winslow offshore life raft. Recent replacements include new standing rigging, lifelines, shaft, stuffing box, and prop. The batteries are new as of 2024; the prop was refurbished in 2024 with new blades.

The cockpit is spacious with a folding table, integrated grill with dual 10-pound propane tanks, hot and cold transom shower, and sugar-scoop transom with swim platform. The boat is outfitted with full dodger and bimini enclosures for sailing in any weather and includes bedding, kitchenware, a television, stereo, WiFi antenna and router, and various onboard appliances.
