The 2000 Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 311 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built around practical cruising and comfortable family accommodation. At just over 31 feet, she combines a manageable size with a surprisingly spacious interior layout and a lifting keel that permits exploration of shallow waters without compromising offshore capability. The yacht is powered by a Volvo Penta diesel engine and equipped with a bow thruster for close-quarters handling.
Below deck, accommodation comprises two private cabins and a saloon that converts to additional sleeping space, providing six berths total. The galley is well-appointed with a hob, sink, and refrigerator, while dedicated storage and hanging lockers are distributed throughout. The heads compartment includes a Jabsco marine toilet, and Webasto heating ensures comfort in cooler seasons. On deck, the cockpit is enclosed and furnished with wheel steering, cushions, and a sprayhood.
Recent work includes a complete lifting keel overhaul with replacement parts, new Crusader sails fitted in 2022, and coppercoat hull treatment applied the same year. Running rigging, lazy jacks, and cockpit upholstery have all been refreshed. Guardwires and skin fittings and valves were updated, and new house batteries were installed in 2023.
The electronics suite centers on a Raymarine Element 9HV multifunction display with autopilot, complemented by a Standard Horizon plotter with AIS, Icom VHF, B&G instrumentation for log, speed, depth, and wind, and a Fusion Bluetooth stereo. A solar panel installation was added in 2024. The yacht cruises at approximately 6 knots and handles easily short-handed, with self-tailing Lewmar winches and aft-led lines simplifying sail management.
