2000 Carver 404 Cockpit Motor Yacht

This 2000 Carver 404 is a 43-foot fiberglass motor yacht built around one of the class's most versatile layouts. The design pairs a full-beam saloon with a spacious, fully enclosed cockpit, wide walkaround decks, and an oversized swim platform. The arrangement works equally well for Pacific Northwest cruising, weekend entertaining, fishing, or full-time living.

Twin Cummins 5.9B diesel engines power the yacht, each with approximately 920 hours of run time. A generator and inverter support the onboard systems. The electronics package includes updated Raymarine navigation equipment, VHF radio, searchlight, and RAM microphone. The heating system is a Wallas furnace. The battery bank was reconfigured and upgraded with new house batteries in 2025, and the 12-volt distribution system was rewired.

Below deck, the two-stateroom, two-head layout centers on a bright, open salon with large windows and generous seating. The aft master stateroom connects directly to the cockpit and includes private head access and substantial storage. The forward guest stateroom offers privacy for extended cruising. The galley is fully equipped and positioned to serve the salon and dinette seamlessly. The flybridge provides excellent sightlines and seating for six, with abundant storage throughout.

The current owners have invested substantially in mechanical and systems work over their ownership, including new cutlass bearing and shaft maintenance, propeller replacement, bottom paint and zincs, hose replacements throughout the fuel, exhaust, raw water, and generator systems, windlass repairs, VacuFlush head service, and fresh water and hot water system repairs. The hull has been buffed and waxed. There is no exterior teak decking, which reduces ongoing maintenance requirements.
