This 2000 Catalina 470 is a 47-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built at Catalina's Florida plant in Largo. The model introduced in 1998 features a powerful sail plan and was designed for extended cruising and liveaboard use. She's powered by a 75-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine with a cruising speed of 7 knots and maximum speed of 9 knots, and her shoal draft and 63-foot-6-inch mast height make her well-suited to intracoastal cruising.
The interior layout includes two large staterooms, each with its own head and dedicated shower, plus a main salon with two captain's chairs and a full sea galley. The boat accommodates two heads total and provides spacious, comfortable cruising accommodations throughout.
Recent upgrades and replacements demonstrate thorough maintenance: new Bimini and dodger (2025), updated Raymarine navigation suite (2022–2024), newly installed Fischer Panda Mini 8 generator with 25 hours (2024), three new Lifeline 8D AGM batteries (2024), Raritan Marine Elegance electric heads, and most running rigging replaced in 2023–2024. Solar panels totaling 800 watts are mounted on a stainless steel arch, with one panel replaced in 2025. A new Highfield Ultra Lite dinghy and Honda 9.9-horsepower outboard were added in 2023. Additional equipment includes in-mast mainsail furling, 140% roller furling genoa, Quantum sails, a Winslow 6-person liferaft, ICOM single sideband radio, and Iridium GO satellite system.
