2000 Chaparral 280 SSi

The 2000 Chaparral 280 SSi is a 28-foot fiberglass runabout built around a deep-V hull designed for offshore performance. Power comes from a 7.4-liter Mercruiser MPI engine with 330 horsepower and Bravo 3 drive, logged at 665 hours. The boat carries 143 gallons of fuel, 30 gallons of fresh water, and 20 gallons of waste capacity. Beam measures 9 feet 3 inches, and the boat weighs 6,800 pounds.

The cockpit is open and wide, centered on a tilt steering wheel and dashboard with a four-in-one gauge cluster. The self-bailing cockpit features optional snap-in carpet and is protected by a PVC rub rail with stainless steel insert. An enclosed, pump-out head is fitted below. The walk-through transom opens to an extended swim platform with integrated transom shower.

Equipment includes trim tabs, depth finder, dual batteries with switch, docking lights, silent choice muffler, Gaffrig throttle and shifter, and an automatic fire extinguisher. A Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo with Polk Audio speakers and Fusion subwoofer has controls at both helm and swim platform. An anchor with dedicated storage, compass, fenders, and a wetbar with sink and refrigerator are included. The boat carries a bimini top, bow and cockpit covers, bow filler cushions, and in-floor ski locker.
