2000 Cobalt 292

The Cobalt 292 is a 29-foot 6-inch bowrider built on a fiberglass hull with solid composite construction throughout. Twin Volvo Penta engines deliver 500 horsepower total, paired with Kiekhaefer controls for smooth performance and precise handling in tight situations. The hull employs Cobalt's Hydrolam lamination process with Kevlar reinforcement along the keel and chines, backed by a ten-year transferable warranty.

The open layout centers on a wraparound aft lounge that seats seven, with a full-length sunning pad and removable cockpit table. The galley features curved countertops, generous sink with storage, and space for optional refrigeration. Forward seating includes two double-wide helm and passenger seats with flip-lip design and adjustable height; the helm seat slides fore and aft for optimal driving position and docking sight lines. Interior flooring is self-draining composite with removable embroidered carpet over non-skid surfaces, eliminating rot-prone wood entirely.

Storage throughout totals 186 cubic feet: insulated ice chest under aft cushions, oversized ski locker in the forward walk-through, lighted compartments under forward seats, and a large aft cockpit locker. A hidden head compartment in the passenger console offers 54 inches of headroom with standard Porta-Potti or upgrade options to electric flush systems with holding tanks. The bow features oversized curved seats facing forward with an optional bi-fold door for cooler weather.

The swim platform is oversized with a full three-step boarding ladder, transom shower, recessed area for water sports gear, and walk-through transom access to the cockpit. Engine access spans the full width of the cockpit with hydraulic-lift motorbox lid allowing standing headroom for service on both engines.
