This 2000 Contender 23 Open is a center console built for fishing and family outings. It runs on twin Yamaha 130 four-stroke outboards producing 260 horsepower total, with 279 engine hours logged. The boat is 23 feet in length overall with an 8-foot-6-inch beam and draws 17 inches at maximum draft.

The open layout centers on a custom leaning post with backrest, storage, and foot rest, alongside a forward cooler seat with dry storage. The cockpit is self-bailing non-skid. Fishing amenities include 22 rod holders plus storage for 12 additional rods, a 30-gallon in-floor live well, two 60-gallon rear fish boxes, and a forward 75-gallon insulated fish box. A 70-quart custom ice cooler sits under the leaning post. The boat holds 150 gallons of fuel and features a transom freshwater shower with 50-gallon capacity.

Electronics include Garmin GPS and fishfinder, Standard Horizon VHF radio, and Fusion MS-RA70NSX stereo with four speakers. Lighting runs throughout—fluorescent T-top lights, front spreader lights, deck lights, hull lights, and new bow lights. The boat carries Yamaha dual gauges for tachometer, fuel management, temperature, and battery monitoring.

Mechanical systems include hydraulic steering with stainless wheel, dual automatic/manual bilge pumps, a live bait pump with thru-hull pickups, and new trim tabs. The boat comes with a Boat Master trailer featuring electronic braking. New hoses, fuel lines, filters, thermostats, plugs, plug wires, water pumps, and impellers were installed. Two batteries, one year old, connect through dual switches. A custom boat cover, console curtains, and full upholstery in green and white complete the package.
