2000 Custom 42 JM Sportfish Custom

This 42-foot custom sportfish was built to USCG inspection standards with a focus on durability and fishing capability. Twin Volvo diesel engines deliver 860 horsepower total and cruise at 24 knots while consuming under 30 gallons per hour. The hull is fiberglass with a beam of 13 feet 9 inches, providing a stable platform for extended time at sea.

The boat features an unusually large cockpit designed for serious fishing work. Below deck, the accommodations include a spacious salon with full galley, a generous stateroom, and an enclosed head. The layout and construction reflect the original owner's intention to build a robust, seaworthy craft capable of handling demanding conditions.

Recent updates include a new 6.5-kilowatt Phasor generator installed in 2024 with only 15 hours of use, and a new enclosed bridge built in 2024. The boat underwent a comprehensive refit in 2018. Currently registered as a private vessel, the USCG inspection certification can be reinstated if needed.
