Built by Gozzard Yachts in Goderich, Ontario, this 37-foot cutter-rigged sailboat was designed by Ted Gozzard for serious offshore cruising. The hull measures 12 feet at the beam and is constructed from fiberglass. The cutter rig provides versatility and control in a range of wind conditions, making the boat well-suited to extended passages.
The boat was completed in 2000 and has logged considerable cruising miles throughout the northeastern Atlantic. Her sailing history includes passages through New England waters, the Canadian Maritimes—including the Saint John River, Nova Scotia, and Cape Breton—and the southern coast of Newfoundland. In 2007 and 2008, the boat completed an extended East Coast cruise, transiting the Intracoastal Waterway to Miami and continuing on to the Bahamas.
This is a yacht built to cross oceans and handle serious conditions. The engineering and construction reflect the standards of a purpose-built cruising boat rather than a coastal day sailer, with the offshore capability and seaworthiness that come from the Gozzard design philosophy.
