2000 Hinckley Picnic Boat 36 Classic

This 2000 Hinckley Picnic Boat 36 is built on the builder's proprietary DUALGUARD hull, combining Kevlar and carbon fiber skins with balsa core construction via the SCRIMP process. Powered by a 2014 Yanmar 6LY2A-STP 440-horsepower diesel with Hamilton 292 jet drive, she cruises at 25 knots and reaches 28 knots at full speed. The JetStick control system integrates steering, throttle, and bow thruster into single-lever operation. Finished in Jade Mist Green Awlgrip topsides with natural teak decks and varnished teak detailing throughout, she features a substantial 10-foot beam that supports roomy accommodations and entertaining space.

The pilothouse and cockpit provide comfortable accommodation for entertaining and weekending. Forward is a V-berth with Sunbrella-upholstered cushions and multiple opening ports and hatches. The galley to port includes stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, a Force 10 two-burner stove, and Adler Barbour refrigeration. The head to starboard is private, with vanity, marine head, and separate hand-held shower. Four opening ports and two overhead hatches provide natural ventilation throughout the cabin, finished in satin-varnished cherry with teak and holly sole.

Recent work includes a 2024 media blast and fresh bottom paint, new 2024 cushions and headliner, updated 2015 Raymarine electronics with autopilot and HD radar, and 2017 hull paint. The boat carries full equipment: Lewmar windlass with Delta anchor, stainless steel mooring cleats and chocks, swim platform with teak treads and folding ladder, four-bow Bimini top, full cockpit cover, and complete entertainment and navigation systems. Dual 12-volt 8D batteries, 110-volt 30-amp shore power, and multiple bilge and emergency systems support extended cruising.
