The Hunter 310 is a 31-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built in 2000 with a Yanmar diesel engine producing 18 horsepower. The design centers on a thoughtful layout that balances comfort and practicality. Two private staterooms are separated by full bulkheads rather than curtains, and natural light flows through multiple hatches and screened ports as well as the wraparound windshield. The main cabin features a large dinette that converts to an additional sleeping berth, with settee seating that incorporates storage underneath. Topside accommodations focus on the cockpit, which is spacious and rounded to seat all crew comfortably. Twin drop-leaf tables allow for cockpit dining, and storage runs beneath the seating. The helm seat hinges aft to access a walkthrough transom fitted with a retractable swim ladder and cockpit shower, with dedicated propane tank storage.
The deck layout reflects an innovative approach to rigging. The B&R fractional rig uses swept-back spreaders, mast struts, and reverse diagonals to provide strength without a backstay, creating clear and spacious side decks with continuous nonskid surfaces. An integrated arch above the cockpit serves as the attachment point for the mainsheet and optional bimini shade, keeping the working deck uncluttered. A custom helm console houses the VHF, instruments, engine controls, and compass. Stern rail seats fold away to preserve sightlines.
The boat is currently in the water and commissioned, ready for the sailing season.
