The 2000 Lagoon 380 is a fiberglass catamaran known for its seaworthiness and spacious layout. Built by Beneteau, this design combines coastal cruising capability with comfortable living accommodations. The boat features twin 30 HP Yanmar diesel engines, each with low hours of approximately 2,250 and 2,280 hours respectively, supported by a robust fuel system with dual 26-gallon tanks. New rigging was installed in 2021, and the mainsail is fully battened with a furling genoa jib. A B&G Zeus3 multifunction display and Triton 2 system provide navigation and autopilot capability. The boat includes an 8-foot West Marine dinghy with a 6 HP Tohatsu outboard mounted on davits.
The interior features three cabins and two heads in an owner's version layout. The starboard hull contains the owner's suite with a queen berth aft, an en-suite head with separate shower, desk, and storage. The port hull houses two guest cabins and a second head with shower. The 2020 salon refit includes new cushions, Corian countertops and cocktail table, a Kenyon Silken 21-inch induction cooktop, and a stainless steel double-bowl sink. New Skysol custom window blinds and Dometic roller covers (blackout and screen) were added throughout. The bright salon has vertical windows and dual sliding doors opening to the cockpit. The galley features an air-cooled Frigoboat refrigerator and electric hot water system.
Recent maintenance and upgrades reflect dedicated ownership. Engine systems were serviced in spring 2024; new propellers were fitted in 2020, and fuel lines and sail drive seals were replaced in 2022. The hull received a fresh bottom paint and comprehensive gelcoat treatment in 2024. Electrical systems include 330 watts of solar panels, a 120Ah battery bank, and a 2,000-watt Westerbeke generator with 600 operating hours. Plumbing systems feature new pump impellers, upgraded vacuum and electric marine heads, and a 300-liter freshwater tank. A heavy-duty Leroy Somer anchor windlass and a new Manson Supreme 45-pound anchor with custom bridle stand ready on the foredeck.
The boat's deck and cockpit are well-appointed for cruising. A new bow trampoline with knotless netting, mooring cleats, and stainless steel lifelines provide secure deck space. The U-shaped cockpit includes a new Corian table and bimini with dodger for weather protection. A new Magma stainless steel infrared grill was added in 2020. Heating is provided by a 2020 Webasto air conditioner/heater and a 2021 Dometic reverse cycle system. The boat carries 300 liters of fresh water and has manual and automatic bilge pumps in each hull.
