2000 Luhrs 36 Convertible
About This Yacht
This 2000 Luhrs 36 Convertible is a fiberglass sportfish built on a solid hull with a 13'10" beam and flared bow. The yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar 3126 diesel engines delivering 420 hp each. A standout design feature is the molded flybridge staircase in the starboard corner of the cockpit—an innovation that replaced the typical near-vertical ladder and became widely adopted across the convertible market. The boat also came equipped with a factory half tower as standard.
The two-stateroom layout offers comfortable accommodations for cruising and overnight trips. The forward cabin features a queen berth, while the guest stateroom includes a convertible settee that doubles as over-under single berths. The salon features an L-shaped settee and dinette to port, with galley-up arrangement. A full head with separate shower stall serves the living areas, and engine room access is via a hatch in the salon sole.
Fishing amenities are well integrated throughout. The boat includes a transom door and transom fish box, cockpit rod storage, and a molded bait prep center positioned to port. Trim tabs are fitted for handling and control. Originally, the twin Caterpillars were rated to cruise at 22 knots with a top speed near 30 knots.
