2000 Mainship 390 Trawler

This 2000 Mainship 390 is a single-engine diesel trawler with a fiberglass hull measuring nearly 40 feet in length. The boat is powered by a Cummins 6BTA5.9 diesel engine rated at 330 horsepower with approximately 1,500 hours of service. It cruises comfortably at 9 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 12.5 knots, drawing about 3.5 gallons per hour at cruise speed. Twin 150-gallon aluminum fuel tanks provide substantial range. An 8-kilowatt Kohler generator supports onboard systems, and a Sidepower bow thruster with dual joystick controls offers improved maneuverability at both the upper and lower helm stations.

The interior follows the classic 390 layout with a forward queen berth in the port cabin, two twin bunks in the starboard cabin, and a full head with separate shower enclosure. Two 65-gallon fresh water tanks and a 30-gallon holding tank service the galley and accommodations. Recent updates include new carpet throughout cabin areas and stairways, a refinished salon floor, and updated propane heating with a Dickenson Caribbean stove installed in 2022. LED lighting has replaced halogen fixtures throughout most of the boat, and a central vacuum system serves the interior spaces.

The boat carries a comprehensive modern electronics suite centered on Simrad NMEA 2000 integration. The lower helm features a 12-inch NSS Evo3 multifunction display with radar, while an identical 9-inch NSS Evo3 sits at the upper helm. VHF radio with AIS, autopilot, compass, and integrated depth and speed sensors round out the navigation package. Topside, the flybridge offers excellent command with two large bench seats and a dedicated helm station. Deck amenities include a new Bimini top, Rocna anchor with windlass, deck shower and anchor rinse, solar panels with Bluetooth monitoring, and a swim platform.

The engine and mechanical systems have received steady maintenance. All engine coolers were serviced within the last year, engine hoses were replaced with upgraded silicone between 2023 and 2025, the exhaust configuration was corrected in 2024, and both the valve cover gaskets and prop underwent recent reconditioning. New house and start AGM batteries were installed in 2025, and the shaft seal was recently replaced with spares on hand. A full winter cover with aluminum frame transfers with the boat.
