2000 Monterey 262 Cruiser

This 28-foot Monterey cruiser is built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a Volvo Penta 5.7GSi engine rated at 300 horsepower, with approximately 320 hours since a professional repower in 2019. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 36 knots and cruises at 24 knots. Recent engine service includes an oil change, new impeller, bellows, gimbal bearing, zincs, and outdrive paint; the propellers have been professionally tuned. A new fuel cell was installed in 2024, and the fuel tank was replaced around 2015.

The cabin and cockpit accommodate a V-berth with table and a full cockpit setup featuring a Kenyon stove, Bennett trim tabs, and a swim step with shower and washdown pump. The boat includes a Kuuma water heater, two AGM batteries with one new in 2025, and Halon fire suppression. Navigation is handled by a Lowrance Mark-4 and West Marine VHF595 radio. Full canvas and isinglass enclosure protect the cockpit, which has carpet and a table for comfort underway.

The boat comes with extensive gear: 220 feet of anchor rode with a 25-pound anchor, specialty tools, spare parts, fenders, life jackets, flares, and fire extinguishers.
