The 2000 Nimbus 380 Carisma is a fiberglass flybridge cruiser built to the Swedish builder's reputation for quality construction and thoughtful layout. At 37.7 feet long with an 11.8-foot beam, it combines spacious accommodations with strong sea-keeping credentials. Power comes from dual Volvo Penta KAMD43 diesel engines delivering 460 horsepower total, fitted with straight shafts for reliable, economical operation. The engines show approximately 1,200 hours of operation, with turbochargers replaced in 2025 and the cooling and exhaust systems extensively updated. Seals, hoses, and other technical components have been recently renewed.
The layout centers on a bright salon with large windows and generous seating, opening to the flybridge above with good visibility and social space for cruising. Two cabins provide accommodation for six berths including salon berths, making extended family cruising practical. A single head serves the accommodations. Recent interior updates include new Nimbus-brand salon cushions, Marine Design carpeting, an Eberspächer diesel heater, new flybridge and aft cushions in Silvertex, and a refreshed forepeak. In 2024, an electric toilet with new hoses, a refrigerator, and a fridge-freezer were installed.
Navigation equipment has been modernized with dual Raymarine Axiom plotters (2021), integrated radar, and autopilot. A bow thruster assists maneuvering. Deck features include electric windlasses fore and aft, a redesigned cockpit canopy installed in 2024 with an open aft-deck layout, a flybridge bimini, teak cockpit table, and Båtsystem davits for tender handling. The hull and systems reflect continuous, careful maintenance and upgrade work over recent years.
The boat is supplied with its original cradle, winter storage stand, and winter covers, with documented service history through MMG Marine in Karlshamn.
