The 2000 Sea Ray 290 Amberjack is a 29-foot fiberglass cruiser built for family comfort and durability. Twin MerCruiser engines deliver 630 horsepower, and the boat has logged approximately 1,200 hours running on freshwater only. The vented chine hull design improves tracking at low speeds and enhances maneuverability, while construction includes vinylester resin, stainless steel hardware, and a self-bailing fiberglass cockpit liner.
The helm features a spacious double seat with flip-up thigh-rise, Garmin chartplotter, Raymarine TriData, and Raytheon VHF radio. The cockpit includes a bolstering captain's chair, companion seating, an aft bench, port-side aft-facing seat, and starboard-side wetbar, all shaded by a beige bimini top. Trim tabs, spotlight control, and dash gauges round out the helm station. Storage is built into the bases of the helm and lounger seats and the aft transom wall, which also houses shore power and water hookup connections.
Below deck, the cabin sleeps four across a front V-berth, starboard-side dinette, and aft berth. The galley includes a NorCold refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and single-bay sink on the port side. A fully-enclosed fiberglass head with shower completes the interior layout. A Clarion AM-FM stereo with amplifier and six speakers provides entertainment, and a carbon monoxide detector is installed. The boat has been heated and stored in freshwater.
A walk-through transom accesses a wide swim platform with removable brackets. Standard safety and operational features include power steering, power tilt and trim, audible engine alarms, and a halon system.
