This 2000 Tiara 3500 Open is a 40-foot fiberglass cruiser built on the brand's deep-V hull design. Twin Cummins diesel engines producing 740 horsepower provide power and efficiency. The boat features a stepped cockpit layout with dual cockpit areas—an upper section exceeding 60 square feet and a lower section of 67 square feet—each designed for entertaining and operation. Engine access is straightforward through drop-down hatches in both the upper and lower cockpits, with the lower hatch fitted with electric operation.

Cockpit seating is arranged with a double-wide helm seat featuring an integrated cooler and storage, paired with back-to-back companion seating to port that includes storage, a wet bar, and an entertaining center. The helm features Tiara's tilt-away console with a chart flat surface and deep-blue non-glare finish. Visibility is enhanced by a substantial windshield and natural light from three full-size foredeck hatches and six opening hullside portlights with screens throughout the boat.

The swim platform is integrated with a folding ladder for water access. Construction throughout reflects Tiara's approach: hand-laid fiberglass hulls and decks with balsa-core reinforcement, one-piece cockpit and deck assembly for structural integrity, and a hull-to-deck joint sealed with polyurethane and fasteners every six to eight inches. Interior surfaces in engine rooms, storage, and bilge areas are gelcoated for durability and stain resistance. Deck hardware is through-bolted with backup plates, and nonskid surfaces are molded in throughout for safety.
