2001 Beneteau Oceanis 40 CC

The 2001 Beneteau Oceanis 40 CC is a fiberglass sailing yacht designed for long-distance cruising. At just over 39 feet in length with a beam of nearly 13 feet, this single-hulled monohull features a bulb keel that provides stability and efficiency under sail. The boat is known for its robust construction and well-balanced sail plan, making it manageable with a reduced crew while maintaining excellent performance. The central cockpit layout offers particular comfort and safety for extended passages.

Below deck, the boat accommodates two cabins and two heads. A galley is positioned in the passageway connecting the saloon to the aft master cabin, which is notably spacious. The interior is finished in solid wood throughout, optimizing the use of space while delivering substantial comfort. The layout supports both serious cruising and leisurely living aboard.

Power comes from a Volvo Diesel MD 22 engine rated at 50 horsepower, with documented engine hours at 2,100. The boat is equipped with a bow thruster in a tunnel configuration, two solar panels, and a fully battened mainsail with in-mast furling. Navigation and weather systems include a Furuno Navtex station. The electrical system comprises one 100-ampere-hour battery for the bow thruster and windlass, one engine battery (replaced in 2023), and three 140-ampere-hour service batteries. Seacocks and through-hull fittings were serviced in 2017, and standing rigging was replaced with spiroid rope in 2022.
