The 2001 Caliber 47 LRC is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built to serious ocean-going standards. At 47 feet in length with a 13-foot beam, she carries the design hallmarks of the Caliber 47 LRC SE: a water-tight collision bulkhead, water-tight rudder dam, and safety sea chest for reliability in rough conditions. The convertible cutter rig provides flexible sail configuration, while the slide-out generator set keeps systems running when at anchor or in calm conditions. A Yanmar diesel engine provides auxiliary power.
The boat is equipped with Caliber's Smart Electrical and Smart Fuel management systems, designed to make long-passage cruising manageable. Generous fuel and water tankage supports extended offshore passages with reduced supply stops.
