2001 Carver 396 Motor Yacht

The Carver 396 Aft Cabin is a 40-foot motor yacht built on a fiberglass hull. Powered by twin Cummins diesel engines producing 370 hp each, the boat cruises at 18 knots and features bow thrusters. A 10K Kohler generator provides onboard power. The design is known for its spacious interior layout, raised walk deck, and aft cabin configuration that prioritizes livability and entertaining space.

The accommodation plan centers on a lower salon with a full galley positioned to integrate the cook into the main gathering area, and a pull-out sofa for additional sleeping. Two private double queen staterooms, each with its own ensuite head, provide separate spaces for guests and crew. Storage and working galley volume are generously proportioned throughout.

Recent maintenance includes new air conditioning units installed in 2023, replaced shaft dripless seals in 2023, a new Bimini top in 2024, recovered bridge seating in 2024, and a full service of the Maxwell windlass in April 2025. The aft deck vinyl was replaced with 60-gauge isinglass in 2022, and the bottom was painted in 2022. Both engines show low hours at approximately 1,300 each, with the generator at 2,205 hours. Front salon windows are treated with ceramic UV coating.
