2001 Carver 506 Motor Yacht

The 2001 Carver 506 is a 51-foot raised pilothouse motor yacht built on a fiberglass hull. Twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3L diesel engines deliver 900 horsepower and cruise at 19 knots, powered by a 20kW Kohler generator. The raised pilothouse design maximizes accommodation and natural light, with an enclosed, air-conditioned helm station featuring a spacious helm bench that seats three, curved L-shaped seating behind it, a bar with Norcold refrigerator and Raritan icemaker, and a large electric opening sunroof flanked by side windows. The bridge commands full 360-degree views and includes dual 12-inch Raymarine HybridTouch chartplotters, radar, GPS, fishfinder, AIS, Raymarine VHF, Twin Disc electronic engine controls with synchronizer, dual RPM displays, a VDO rudder angle indicator, compass, depth sounder, and Raymarine S100 autopilot.

Below decks, the saloon spans generously with rich furnishings including varnished cabinetry, custom blinds, and thick carpeting. A convertible double lazyboy-style seat on the port side faces a Samsung entertainment system with DVD and surround Yamaha speakers, while a three-seat leather couch on the starboard converts to a berth. A round varnished wood dining table with four upholstered chairs sits beneath custom lighting. The galley offers full domestic functionality with a full-size refrigerator and freezer, three-burner Princess ceramic cooktop, Contour combination oven with microwave and grill capabilities, double sink with pullout faucet, and a built-in trash compactor.

The yacht features three full en suite cabins. The owner's cabin boasts a raised queen berth with four hanging lockers, extensive drawer and dedicated shoe storage, a vanity with lit mirror, a bathtub with shower combination, and a separate vacuflush head. The forward centerline cabin offers another queen berth with storage, a full head, vanity, and separate shower stall. The third portside cabin is a double berth with its own head and vanity; the associated bathroom serves as a wet head and houses the washing machine and dryer. An optional sunroom-style upper saloon includes a large settee with footstools and access to both side decks and the transom.

The engine bay spans the full salon length with unobstructed systems access, housing the twin Cummins engines, 20kW Kohler generator, electric oil exchanger system, and battery banks. A partial watermaker installation has been started in the engine bay.
