2001 Catalina 42 MkII

The 2001 Catalina 42 MkII is a fiberglass cruising sailboat with a proven hull design featuring high volume and easy motion through the water. The hull carries a fine entry, firm midship section, and smooth run aft terminating in a modified reverse transom with a spacious boarding platform. A long horizontal skeg provides directional stability, working with the balanced, large rudder to ensure control in varying sea states. The deck layout prioritizes shorthanded sailing, with all halyards, mainsheet, and single-line main reefing controls led to the cockpit and operable from under the dodger. Wide weather decks and inboard shroud placement make forward movement safe and straightforward. An electric windlass and bow roller handle anchor work from below deck.
