This Dutch-built catamaran, a 2001 Nimble 50, is defined by the quality of its materials and construction. With fine water entries and a tall nacelle, the hull form delivers excellent performance for cruising multihull enthusiasts. A notable design feature allows the boat to be lifted by four pad eyes directly on deck. The spacious saloon and cockpit are thoughtfully divided, combining practical layout with generous volume.
The boat was re-engined in 2022 with twin 30 hp Yanmar diesels fitted to Sail Drive 25 gearboxes with three-blade folding propellers. Engine hours stand at 950, with the 1,000-hour service completed. Two 175-litre fuel tanks supply the engines; running hours and maintenance have followed manufacturer specifications including annual professional servicing and winter layup. Battery and electrical systems were substantially renewed between 2022 and 2024, including Victron servitude batteries, chargers, and 820 watts of solar panels spread across rigid and semi-rigid panels mounted on guardwire frames and bimini.
The sailing inventory is modern, with a 2023 mainsail (81 m², full-batten with three reefs), Solent jib (38 m²) on a 2023 Profurl roller, storm jib, and 180 m² asymmetric spinnaker with sock. Standing rigging was fully replaced with single-strand wire in 2023; running rigging uses Dyneema with polyester cover. Deck hardware includes Harken track and cars, four cockpit winches (one electric), and two mast-foot winches (one electric). Twin wheels with hydraulic transmission provide steering.
Below deck are four double cabins—two aft with 160 cm berths, two forward with upper and lower bunks—plus heads and shower in each hull. The galley has a three-burner Thetford stove with oven, two pressurised sinks, and a 150-litre fridge and 100-litre freezer. A 65 litres-per-hour desalinator (12V) and two rigid water tanks (2 × 150 litres) support cruising independence. Webasto heating with two air-blown units, one per hull, maintains comfort. Cabin and saloon upholstery was recently refreshed; flooring in companionways and forward cabins was refitted in 2024. The hull received osmosis treatment and was last hauled in April 2024.
Electronics are comprehensive, centred on Simrad navigation systems including autopilots (AP20 and AP16), three repeaters, and integrated displays. A Raymarine electronic chart reader with 2024 Navionics charts covers western European and Mediterranean waters. Fixed and handheld VHF with DSC, Iridium Go, and an electronic barometer complete the suite. Safety equipment includes a Seago eight-person life raft (2022), six adult and two child life jackets with auto-inflators, two lifebuoys with self-igniting lights, two fixed and one portable manual
