The 2001 Cobalt 246 is a 24-foot fiberglass runabout powered by a single 280-horsepower Volvo-Penta engine, capable of cruising at 26 knots and reaching speeds above 43 knots. The boat accommodates six people across its open cockpit, which features two forward-facing captain's chairs with articulating bases and an L-shaped lounge. Walk-through openings at both the transom and windshield allow easy movement throughout the boat.
The helm is equipped with illuminated instruments, a tilting leather steering wheel, and a rosewood dash panel. The captain's chairs are positioned to provide sightlines above the windshield, and both chairs rise for comfort and visibility. A ventilated head compartment and a ski locker amidships complete the functional layout. The wide swim platform includes a concealed ladder for water access.
Standard onboard equipment includes a pump-out head with fresh water transom shower, air compressor, cockpit table, cockpit floor mats, and a Bimini top with full enclosures plus a cockpit cover. The dual battery switch operates new batteries. A 2018 Venture aluminum tandem-axle trailer is included with the boat.
