2001 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser

The 2001 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser is a 40-foot express cruiser built on a fiberglass deep-V hull, designed for both comfort and capable performance. Powered by twin MerCruiser 8.1 S HO engines producing 850 hp combined, it cruises efficiently at 28 knots. The boat features a hydraulic swim platform, walk-through windshield, and a Kohler generator. A Mercury Vesselview system with Bluetooth engine gauges has been added for modern monitoring.

The layout centers on a spacious cockpit with comfortable seating and a wet bar suitable for entertaining. Below, the cabin offers a full galley, salon with ample seating, and sleeping for four with a master stateroom and guest area. One head serves the accommodations.

Recent maintenance and upgrades include new Isinglass and canvas in 2023, reupholstered seating in marine-grade vinyl the same year, fresh bottom paint with oxidation removal and polish in 2025, a new aft bilge pump in 2024, and a new engine hatch motor in 2025. The dining table and stair treads were refinished and upgraded in 2023. The AC and heat system was replaced in 2019, and shower fixtures throughout were renewed in 2023. The generator runs just 125 hours; engine hours are 735.
