2001 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser

This 2001 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser is a fiberglass-hulled express with twin Mercruiser 8.1L HO engines rated at 425 hp each, cruising at 12.96 knots. The boat has been single-owned since 2006. In 2007, the original engines and transmissions were replaced with the current Mercruisers, and the engines now show 659 running hours. Recent work includes new risers, manifolds, raw water pumps, and cutlass bearings. The cockpit and swim platform feature new teak decking.

Below deck, the cabin offers 6 feet 7 inches of headroom throughout. The salon features high-gloss cherry cabinetry, Ultraleather upholstery, and a crescent-shaped dinette with a solid cherry table. The galley is fully equipped with a round stainless steel sink, under-counter refrigeration, Corian countertops, and substantial storage. Forward is a private cabin space.

The layout centers on a convertible U-shaped lounge aft of the salon with seating for six, and a walk-through windshield leads to the foredeck. The U-shaped aft cockpit lounge converts to a sun pad, and the extended swim platform will support a personal watercraft. A Kohler generator (519 hours) powers the onboard systems. The boat comes with a St. Croix davit lift equipped with chokes, rollers, and winch for launching a hard-bottom inflatable tender with console, as well as trim tabs for handling.
