2001 Hallberg-Rassy 62

The Hallberg-Rassy 62 is a blue water cruiser built by the renowned Swedish yard on Orust and designed by Germán Frers. At just over 18.8 metres, she balances sailing performance, comfort, and safety for long-distance cruising. The fiberglass hull and deck are constructed to Hallberg-Rassy standards for robustness and reliability, with systems designed for easy access and maintenance.

Accommodations comprise four cabins and nine berths. The owner's cabin aft features a double berth to port, single to starboard, generous storage, and an en-suite with separate shower. Three guest cabins forward include a forepeak with V-berth, one with a double berth, and one with bunks—each with its own toilet and shower. The teak interior throughout creates a warm atmosphere, with a bright and spacious saloon offering ample natural light and storage. A protected center cockpit provides a sheltered steering position suited to varying sea conditions.

Recent upgrades include a fully overhauled Volvo TAMD63 engine and serviced drive line and steering system. The hydraulic rig system received full service in 2024, with new genoa and jib sails the same year. A mainsail without battens, hydraulic in-mast furling, and stainless steel lifelines complete the sailing rig. The teak deck was replaced in 2015.

Equipment includes updated navigation, Starlink, SSB radio, and WiFi. A watermaker, washing machine, and updated refrigeration support extended cruising. An electric davit launches a Zodiac dinghy with 6 and 20 hp outboards. Batteries date to 2022, and a sprayhood and pedestal cockpit table from 2023 round out the inventory.
