2001 Legacy Boat 28 Express

The 2001 Legacy 28 Express is a Down East–style cuddy cabin with a factory hardtop, rarely found on the Gulf Coast. Powered by a single 300 hp Yanner diesel with a bow thruster, the boat cruises at 15 knots and reaches 25 knots at top speed, making it well-suited for coastal cruising and fishing.

The single cabin includes one head and accommodates overnight trips alongside day outings and entertaining. The boat measures 28 feet in length with a 9.5-foot beam.

Recent maintenance and upgrades span 2024 and 2026: new bow thruster, water heater, head, VHF antennas, and shower sump pump were installed in 2024; batteries were replaced in 2026. The engine received a complete service less than 20 hours before listing, including a new timing belt, fuel sending units, impeller, valve adjustment, and fresh oil and filter. With under 700 engine hours, the boat has low wear. Bottom paint and zincs were applied in 2024. The gel coat, paint, and fixtures show minimal age-related wear from covered storage.
