The 2001 Mainship Pilot 30 is a fiberglass cruiser built for fishing, diving, and extended cruising. Powered by a single Cummins 220-horsepower diesel engine with approximately 750 hours, the boat features an elongated cockpit designed to accommodate multiple anglers, with provisions for numerous rod holders along the wide covering boards. A swim platform with ladder and fresh water washdown system serve water-sports enthusiasts, while bridgedeck settees provide additional sleeping space.
The accommodations include a galley with electric two-burner stovetop, GE microwave, Nova-Kool refrigerator with freezer plate, and stainless steel sink with hot and cold water. The head is electric and has been converted to fresh water flush. A 40-gallon fresh water tank and 13-gallon holding and gray water tank support extended voyages. The boat sleeps multiple people across the main cabin and settee areas.
Navigation and seamanship equipment includes a Raymarine VHF radio, Garmin GPS multifunction display with transducer, Fusion marine stereo system, Lewmar electric windlass with controls at the anchor and helm station, Side-Power 12-volt bow thruster, Bennett trim tabs, and a Ritchie compass. The helm features an enclosed canvas canopy with isinglass.
Recent maintenance and upgrades include new cabin and deck fabrics in marine-grade Sunbrella, replaced isinglass, new electric head, new batteries, replaced sea water pump, newly charged air conditioning system, recent bottom paint, and annual engine servicing from 2020 through 2025. The boat carries 175 gallons of fuel capacity and includes 30-amp shore power capability.
