The 2001 Skipjack 262 Flybridge is a solid fiberglass West Coast fishing boat built for offshore work and trailering. At 26 feet with an 8.5-foot beam, it combines a sturdy, well-finished hull with practical accommodations and a notably open cockpit. The boat is powered by a single Volvo Penta AD41P turbocharged diesel engine of 200 horsepower, paired with a duoprop outdrive for economical cruising and offshore capability.
The cabin offers sleeping for four with oak trim, a small galley, dinette, and enclosed head with shower, plus good storage throughout. A full fiberglass cabin liner and fairly wide side decks enhance durability and usability. The cockpit spans about 64 square feet of open space with a large hatch for engine access, storage lockers, and a swim platform. An 80-gallon Bluewater bait tank, fresh and saltwater washdowns, and hot and cold cockpit shower support fishing operations. The flybridge features an eisenglass enclosure added in 2017.
Navigation and fish-finding systems include dual Simrad NSE12 multifunction displays with radar, chartplotter, and fishfinder, a Simrad 4G radar, Simrad AP44 autopilot, and a BSM2 Chirp sounder with Airmar transducer. Power systems comprise three AGM batteries, a Heart Interface inverter/charger, and 30-amp shore power. A Lewmar Profish 700 windlass handles 50 feet of chain and 300 feet of braided rode with a 16-pound Bruce anchor.
Recent work includes fresh bottom paint and outdrive service completed in November 2024. Other equipment adds capability: oversized Bennett auto-adjust trim tabs, Simrad and ICOM electronics, a Fusion stereo, stainless radar arch with rod holders, and a halogen deck light. A Pacific tandem trailer is included with the boat.
