2001 Tiara Yachts 3800 Open

This 2001 Tiara 3800 Open is a 38-foot fiberglass cruiser built with the quality and durability Tiara Yachts is known for. Twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3 Diamond Series engines produce 450 horsepower each, delivering a cruising speed of 25 knots at roughly 30 gallons per hour, with a top speed of 29 knots and an estimated safe range of 325 nautical miles. The engines had their 1,000-hour service completed in May 2019 with new aftercoolers and gear coolers installed, and show 1,236 hours total. An Onan 9 kilowatt diesel generator provides auxiliary power.

The boat features a single cabin and head arranged for comfortable cruising. The wide 14-foot-2-inch beam and open layout provide excellent sightlines for piloting and safe passage, while wide side decks allow easy movement fore and aft. Original upholstery has been well maintained and remains in strong condition, complemented by new seat covers and a new enclosure added in 2026.

Navigation and engine management systems were upgraded in 2016 with dual Raymarine E140W multifunction displays including GPS, radar, and sounder, joined by a Simrad AP 22 autopilot, ST60 tri-data, Glendinning engine synchronizer, Cablemaster, FLIR night vision, and ACR searchlight. The hull was professionally repainted in blue Awlgrip in 2010. Regular maintenance has included annual oil analyses and diligent care throughout its ownership history.
