2001 Viking Princess 72

The Viking Princess 72 is a 72-foot fiberglass motor yacht built for extended cruising and entertaining. Powered by twin MAN Marine Diesel engines rated at approximately 1,300 horsepower each, she features direct-drive Aquamet 22 stainless steel shafts and side-power bow and stern thrusters with helm joystick control. An Onan 27.5 kW generator provides electrical power, though it requires servicing.

The accommodation layout includes a master stateroom amidships with ensuite head, a forward VIP cabin, and port and starboard twin bunk cabins, with multiple heads throughout featuring Sealand Vacuflush toilets and ceramic sinks. The main salon is an expansive living and dining area with premium cabinetry, carpeting, and an electric up/down aft window. The galley employs a "Galley Up" arrangement with a three-burner electric stove, drawer-style refrigerators and freezers, dishwasher, and abundant storage. A full pilothouse with weather controls and plush seating serves as a secondary helm, with camera views of the engine room and aft deck. Additional dining seating is available in the pilothouse.

Climate control is provided by six Cruisair 230V split-system reverse cycle air-conditioning units with digital SMX II controls, though three require service. Dual Garmin GPSmap multifunction displays are installed at the main helm and flybridge, complemented by Simrad autopilot, Garmin wind/depth/speed instrumentation, and Icom VHF radios. Electrical systems include 24/12V DC with 50-amp 120/240V AC shore power, twin Newmar 24V chargers, and dual isolation transformers.

Exterior features include a spacious flybridge with molded seating and a large teak-laid aft cockpit with swim platform. An electro-hydraulic passerelle and garage, along with a Besenzoni electro-hydraulic davit, are present but require service. Teak decking and some deck core areas need repair, and there are minor cosmetic window leaks requiring resealing and wood repairs below the helm.
